Communications Associate Manager/Manager EMEA - Home/Hertfordshire based

9 month FTC

In collaboration with the wider EMEA Communications team, the Associate Manager/Manager Communications will support with the development and implementation of key communications priorities across both internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organisation, this role covers a broad spectrum of communications activities, including brand communications, disease awareness, stakeholder management, corporate communications, internal communications, digital communications, reputation management and media relations.
  • Provide support and ongoing management to deliver key projects within the EMEA teams
  • Work collaboratively with affiliates, teams and partners to ensure local implementation of projects, and consistency of messages across EMEA
  • Identify opportunities and appropriate media to maximise effective communications of brand and therapy area messages, to both internal and external audiences, that support the reputation of the company and its products
  • Contribute to company-wide engagement through the planning, development and execution of internal communication plans across business groups and functions
  • Manage communications agencies and other third-party suppliers to deliver agreed projects on time and within budget

The ideal qualifications and experience are:

  • Prior experience and proven expertise in delivering strategic healthcare public relations and communications programmes within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience using multiple communications channels with good command of digital platforms including social media and website management would be a benefit
  • Understanding of media relations principles and experience of handling media-led issues
  • University Graduate (Communications, Journalism, Life Sciences, Social Sciences preferred)
  • Second language is an advantage, but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate across different levels
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and simply to internal and external audiences
  • High attention to detail, analytical skills and creative approach to problem solving
  • Strong personal management skills including time management and workload prioritisation
  • Excels in a fast paced and dynamic international environment; calm under pressure
  • Experience of working within a matrix structure, able to engage and forge relationships internally and externally
