Job Description

This is a great chance to join a flourishing agency as a Senior Medical Writer. This role can be fully remote, hybrid or office based in London or Manchester, depending on your preference.

You will write a range of high-quality medical communications materials for HCPs, opinion leaders and patients. Our client works across a range of European and global accounts including some publications, medical affairs, medical education and patient communications.

To be considered for this role you will have previous medical communications agency writing experience, be based in the UK and be fully eligible to work.

  • Create and develop clear, accurate and creative written materials over a variety of therapeutic areas, in accordance with the brief and client objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, KOLs and colleagues through effective communication
  • Review project work by assessing how well the brief is met in terms of content, flow, readability, creativity, scientific messages, target audience and scientific accuracy to ensure high quality outputs
  • Work with the internal team to develop and agree project specifications
  • Coach and mentor more junior members of the team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Life Science degree, preferably an MSc or PhD
  • Previous relevant medical writing experience gained within a medical communications agency
  • Experience of writing a range of materials for different audiences
  • A desire to self-develop and to continue to build skills in other aspects of medical communications
  • Good planning and organisational skills and an excellent eye for detail
